Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham And Christine McVie are to release an album together this summer.

Simply titled Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie, the 10-track record marks the first time the pair have worked on an album as a duo.

It’ll launch on June 9 via East West Records and will be preceded by the single In My World, which will arrive on digital streaming services on Friday (April 14).

The collaboration between the pair began in 2014 when McVie rejoined Fleetwood Mac for their On With The Show tour, with album sessions taking place at The Village Studios in Los Angeles.

Buckingham says: “We were exploring a creative process and the identity of the project took on a life organically.

“The body of work felt like it was meant to be a duet album. We acknowledged that to each other on many occasions, and said to ourselves, ‘What took us so long?’”

McVie adds: “We’ve always written well together, Lindsey and I, and this has just spiralled into something really amazing that we’ve done between us.”

In addition, the pair have announced a run of North American tour dates throughout June and July in support of their self-titled record, which is now available for pre-order.
