French metal mega-festival Hellfest has released its first lineup announcement for 2024, and it includes a first-time headliner making their debut appearance at the event. Closing out the festival in June next year will be none other than rock royalty Foo Fighters, marking their first mainland Europe show confirmation for 2024, which will follow their run of UK dates earlier in the month.
Joining Foo Fighters at Hellfest 2024 so far are Queens Of The Stone Age, The Offspring, Megadeth, Dropkick Murphys, Royal Blood, Bad Omens, All Them, Witches, Babymetal, Biohazard, Bruce Dickinson, Brujeria, Brutus, Dark Tranquillity, Dimmu Borgir, Eternal Champion, Fu Manchu, Korpiklaani, Kvelertak, Madball, Nova Twins, Rhapsody Of Fire, Satyricon and the Interruptors. "We still have over 160 bands to announce by the end of the year," say the festival organisers in a statement on the official Hellfest website, adding: "be patient, you won’t be disappointed!"
Taking place just outside Clisson, France for four days from June 27-30 next year, Hellfest 2024 will release its final batch of tickets for all four days of the festival this coming Wednesday, October 25, at 1pm CET. Tickets will be available to purchase from tickets.hellfest.fr.

It's been a busy year for Foo Fighters after they took an understandable timeout following the shocking death of drummer Taylor Hawkins last year. In May, the band confirmed that Josh Freese would be joining the band for their live shows moving forwards, which have resumed apace over the summer. Those shows included a memorable 'surprise' slot during this year's Glastonbury festival, with the Foos arriving on stage during the Friday afternoon to plough through an hour-long set in front of a packed Pyramid Stage crowd.
