Inside the issue itself, we speak to Evanescence frontwoman and band leader Amy Lee about the band’s early days, writing an album that disrupted the nu metal landscape, and how she coped with the sudden fame she experienced through becoming an instant 21st century alternative icon.

“What do they call that thing? Imposter syndrome!” she recalls when reliving those crazy first couple of years after Fallen was released. “I definitely felt like I’d snuck in the back door and somehow got to go to the Grammys. Like, ‘I’m not supposed to be here and people do not know who we are and this is a prank.’ I think part of that is just it all happening so fast and being so young.” Read the issue to find out what else she had to say.

Also in the latest edition of Metal Hammer magazine, there are brand new interviews with the likes of the Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne, beloved comedian and metal lover Bill Bailey, Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale, In This Moment's Maria Brink, 'bimbocore' commander-in-chief Scene Queen and many, many more.
