Randy Rhoads tribute detailed

The work of late guitarist Randy Rhoads will be celebrated on an upcoming compilation featuring a host of stars from the world of rock and metal.

Titled Immortal Randy Rhoads: The Ultimate Tribute, it will launch on March 2 via UDR Music and comes just five weeks after separate tribute album Randy Rhoads Remembered Volume 1, which will be released on January 23.

The latest compilation features 11 tracks from axeman’s time with Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot. All the tracks have been re-recorded by artists including Rudy Sarzo, Frankie Banali, Serj Tankian, Tom Morello, Chuck Billy, George Lynch, Doug Aldrich and the axeman’s bother Kelle Rhoads.

The record was produced and compiled by Bob Kulick.

Kelle Rhoads says: “Randy was a humble, thankful and gracious person – you can rest assured that he’s very, very touched we’re doing this record. This means everything to him.”

Randy Rhoads: The Ultimate Tribute will be bundled with a DVD featuring a documentary about the Musonia School Of Music which was founded by Rhoads’ mother and brother. The compilation will be released on CD, double vinyl and digital download.
