Slaves (US) announce Euro tour

Slaves (US) have announced a small European tour.

They’ve lined up the shows in June and the seven dates will come after their appearance at Download the same month. The band will be supported by Palisades.

The Californian band (not to be confused with the British two-piece) were ejected from the 2015 Vans Warped Tour in the wake of allegations that singer Jonny Craig wasn’t sober.

He told TeamRock Radio: “At first we were like, okay, this is probably the stupidest thing that’s ever happened to us. I used to put a needle in my arm, so if I want to have a beer I think I’m entitled to be able to respect myself.

“They’re calling my band enablers and all this shit. Those people have literally been here since the moment I started this band and have kept me clean.”

The band’s guitarist Alex Lyman was also attacked and stabbed last summer in an unprovoked attack.

They released their second album Routine Breathing last year.
