Slayer unveil Repentless artwork

Slayer have unveiled the cover art for their 11th album Repentless.

It’s due out on September 11 via Nuclear Blast and the design was created by Brazilian artist Marcelo Vasco in collaboration with the band’s Tom Araya and Kerry King.

Araya says: “We had a number of submitted ideas for the cover artwork and we felt Marcelo’s was the best. We made some suggestions and the result is an awesome album cover.”

Slayer will release the album’s title track on Friday (June 19) on digital formats – a song King calls his “Hannemanthem” as it was written about his late colleague Jeff Hanneman who died in 2013.

The band are currently touring North America and will return to Europe later this year:
