Watch how The Darkness created hair-raising video for Rock And Roll Deserves To Die

Earlier this month, The Darkness released a video for their song Rock And Roll Deserves To Die.

It was the first material taken from their upcoming album Easter Is Cancelled and saw the band tear through the track clad in black dinner suits, before an unfortunate turn of events caused the boys to lose their hair… and frontman Justin Hawkins lost a bit more than that!

Now, in an exclusive clip for Classic Rock, The Darkness have shared a making-of clip showing how music and video production company Sitcom Soldiers created the video.

Justin Hawkins tells Classic Rock: “It were right good. We had a strong idea and a lovely team of Northerners to execute said idea, it were magic.

“Oh yeah, and most importantly, I do all my own stunts.”

The video features interviews with some of the Sitcom Soldiers crew and shows the band being prepared for the shoot – and there’s plenty of laughs when they look back at the footage of Justin losing his hair!

The Darkness followed Rock And Roll Deserves To Die with Heart Explodes two weeks ago and will head out on tour across the UK in November and December.

Easter Is Cancelled will be released on October 4 through Cooking Vinyl.
