The Who turned 50 in style with the Hits 50 tour, and here we have the Hyde Park date of the jaunt captured on CD, DVD and Blu-ray. You may worry that firstly, the show doesn’t quite have the cachet of the band’s Glastonbury headline set that came two days later, and that secondly, Hyde Park gigs are known for having an atmosphere – and sound – as flat as a pancake.

Fret not, as this show captures everyone’s favourite mod pensioners in fine form, and we’re pleased to report that the sound is beautifully crisp. The setlist is to die for as well. Pinball Wizard, Won’t Get Fooled Again, My Generation: they’re all here across a two-hour set. If Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend decide to wind down now that this landmark is behind them, we certainly wouldn’t blame them, but Live In Hyde Park depicts a band with plenty of life left in it yet.
